Following this achievement Yuka went on to write and illustrate her first graphic novel, Tekafubu Nobunaga, based, on the life and character of one of Japan's most notable historical figures, Samurai Nobunaga Oda, which consisted of 9 volumes and was translated into Chinese and Thai languages.

After its completion Yuka continued to serve as illustrator and co-author of various smaller publications in the Summer and Fall Editions of Shonen Magazine Fresh, until she began her second graphic novel series, Peak.

And even though Peak was a short two-volume series, Yuka had the opportunity to experience the challenges of a mountain climber during her research for this story, which helped her further detail the emotional boundaries of her characters. Making this story worth

Shortly after Yuka began her journey out east to New York City in search of new stories, new characters and exposure to different cultures. She was certain that using all of her experiences while living in the big city, it would help her ishape her new, own original stories.

Since 2003 Yuka has designed various original characters for stories of several promising authors working under several American Publishing companies, as well as assisting editing and layout designs of one of Ozamu Tezuka's most noted novels: Buddha under Vertical, Inc.

Currently Yuka is working as a Manga Illustration instruction for the New York Public Library, running various workshops for young adults throughout New York City as well as on an upcoming project she expects to entertain her old audience and conquer a new one in her newfound home of New York City and the US in general.
